Practices, Strategies, and Tools for the Next Generation Science Classroom



During this second workshop n the Planning for New Science Standards Series, participants will use questioning and discussion techniques that support the application of the science and engineering practices. Emphasis will be placed on engaging in argument from evidence and developing and using models. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 3B, 3C, & 1E.

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants will pay the listed fee. All professional development (PD) sessions require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not met; the PD session will be canceled two weeks prior to the event. Registrants for the session will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price of the session(s) not attended. No credit will be awarded until the fee is paid.
