Bryant-Fourth Grade Literacy Common Core Curriculum
Teachers will take a deep look at the newly reorganized fourth grade literacy curriculum and see how it lends itself to formative assessments, portfolio development, and standards based report cards. We will also look closely at mentor texts and investigate how they should be used in both the reading and writing workshops. Throughout the day, teachers will engage in planing literacy lessons using mentor texts and collaborate to write formative assessments for standards that will be assessed during each 9 week period. Teachers will also spend time learning and using the new PARCC writing rubrics. **If possible, teachers will need their laptops in order to maneuver through the Fourth Grade Yearly Plan.
