Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) Gr. 8-12
The Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) was developed by SREB and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. LDC offers a fresh approach to incorporating literacy into high school content areas with built-in Common Core State Standards. It has been successfully implemented across the state of Arkansas for improved student success. Exploring the LDC templates is the focus of this professional development for Gr. 8-12 teachers. You will learn how to plan a module for argumentative, informational/explanatory, and narrative writing tasks using instructional strategies for enhanced student engagemen
