Administrators Math Institute
The combination of Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Partnership of Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC), and Teacher Excellence and Support System (TESS) puts many principals in a quandary when it comes to evaluating the adequacy of mathematics instruction in their schools. Traditional expectations that equate math success solely with rote knowledge of math facts and the ability to calculate must be reset. In this institute you will learn how to tell if teachers are using new methods effectively and if they are developing in students a good conceptual understanding of mathematics.
