NAESC Comprehensive Literacy Coach Mentoring
Comprehensive Literacy Coach Mentoring serves to provide training and support for new and existing comprehensive literacy coaches in the Northcentral Co-op area elementary schools. This coaching training is designed for, but not limited to, k-4 coaches. Instruction is provided on each essential component of the literacy block for the purpose of deepening and strengthening the literacy coaches' understanding of these components. Mentoring is a crucial aspect of the training as we seek to work through various problems/issues that arise during coaching. Reflective feedback and observation of coaching classrooms serve to provide timely instruction in the strategies needed to impact student achievement.
