WDMESC: Section 504 and Public Schools: What You Need to Know



This workshop provides an overview of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.  It focuses on specific actions that schools must take in order to be in compliance with the law.  Specific topics include: eligibility determination; accommodation planning; and the impact of the ADA amendments.  Content sources include:  Federal legislation; federal regulations; Office for Civil Rights letters of finding; and personal experiences.
