DSC Project: Flying WILD @ Lake DeGray

Project WILD’s approach to migratory bird education and conservation is interdisciplinary and standards-based in its Flying WILD Curriculum Guide. Flying WILD lessons and activities provide a wonderful way to introduce students to the study of birds and their habitat. We will share birding basics and demonstrate engaging lessons for your students. All participants will receive a Flying WILD curriculum guide, a Peterson’s Bird Field Guide, and will construct a bluebird house thanks to the AR Game & Fish Commission. In the afternoon we will take a hike at Lake DeGray and boat ride for bird watching and learn about their habitats thanks to Lake DeGray State Park. Dress comfortably, bring sunglasses, sunscreen and a water bottle. A sandwich, chips , cold drinks and cookies will be provided for lunch.
