NWAESC(2095)---Illustrative Mathematics: Curriculum and Instruction Training Year 2, Grades K-5

Now that you have had some time to experience IM's curriculum with students and you have seen how it has engaged and empowered them as mathematicians, you may want to take a deeper look at what this curriculum offers or how you can be more efficient in your use of it! Continue your efforts to support the Arkansas Department of Education’s vision to lead the nation in student focused education! In Year 2, we will create a community of math teachers who will become resources and support for each other as you implement this innovative curriculum. Year 2 training includes the following areas of focus: * Establishing a culture of learning * Going deeper with instructional routines with a focus on the 5 Practices for Orchestrating Productive Math Discussions * Going deeper with lesson components * Curriculum Adaptation information from IM
