Discover the transformative power of movement in learning! In this dynamic training, the presenters will show you how to implement evidence-based and practical strategies including whole-body movements, relaxation breaks, and breathing techniques, into classroom routines and daily schedules to improve student (and staff) self-regulation skills and attention. These strategies are all inclusive for ability levels and you will learn how to adapt strategies for students with disabilities.
Participants will practice movement strategies and develop techniques to embed into classroom routines and daily schedules. Participants should wear comfortable clothes, bring a mat or towel, and a water bottle. Bring your classroom schedule to for guidance on how to incorporate movement in your classroom. This session is perfect for both educators and therapists of all grade levels!
This training is a collaborative effort with Arch Ford Education Brain Support Specialist, Arkansas Brain Injury School Support Program, and UAMS Institute for Digital Health and Innovation Brain Injury Program and offered at no cost to all participants.
