SWAEC- Autism 101

When you hear the word Autism what goes through your mind? Over the past 50+ years, the word Autism has been used so much that maybe you don't even think about it very much when it is mentioned. Or maybe it strikes fear of the unknown in your heart and mind? In this powerful workshop, you will learn some basic facts about the history of Autism, some things that have changed over the years, and some practical things that can be done to help overcome obstacles in the lives of our students with Autism. You will want to bring an open mind, a willing heart and any questions you may have about Autism. You will walk away from this workshop with tools and strategies to help those students with Autism in your classroom.
