Active Learning Strategies for Social & Emotional Learning
More than ever, students are struggling with their emotions and social interactions. From a growing reliance on screens to a general fear of challenge and failure, students need to feel safe and supported in their clasroom. In this workshop, teachers will learn activities that foester a safe and risk-encouraging environment and facilitate open dialogues to create empathy, understanding, and resilience. Led by veteran teacher, teaching artist, and active learning consultant April Gentry-Sutterfield, this workshop will help you create a place where every voice is heard and every perspective is valued.
Important Session Information:
A $100 FEE WILL BE DUE ON THE DAY OF THE TRAINING IF NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE DMESC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM.
