Curriculum Based Reader's Theatre

Curriculum Based Reader's Theatre is an arts-integrated strategy that combines theatre technique with your curriculum to strengthen student retention, reading fluency, and build confidence.  This workshop included resources for K-6 grade levels and subjects that you can apply directly to your classroom.  Participants are encouraged to bring lesson plans and/or project ideas that they would like to use readers theatre to activate.  There will be dedicated time to discuss these ideas with fellow participants and receive feedback from Arkansas A+ Fellows.
Teachers will:
* Learn basic reader's theatre art vocabulary and readers theatre processes.
* Grow in their comfort using readers theater in their own classrooms.
* Learn enriched assessment strategies that can be used to assess their assignments.
* Leave with their own readers theatre plans that they can apply to their own planning and classrooms.

Lunch will be provided
