Numeracy Consultants: Diagnostic Math Assessments and Targeted Interventions Do you find it difficult to determine where learning acceleration needs to specifically occur with your mathematicians? Do you find it difficult to know exactly how to intervene with mathematics? We have several literacy assessments which allow us to pinpoint where intervention needs to take place, however math has always seemed to be a guessing game. Now we have research based assessments and interventions available to us with the programs developed by Numeracy Consultants. This session will give a general overview of the four programs offered by Numeracy Consultants: the Numeracy Readiness Screener, Primary Numeracy, Multiplicative Thinking, and Fractional Reasoning. The session will then take a deeper dive into the first two programs (Numeracy Readiness Screener and Primary Numeracy), demonstrating how to facilitate the assessments and how to utilize the targeted interventions. The beauty of these assessments is that they look at how students think mathematically, not simply that they can compute numbers. These interventions can be utilized for Tier 1, 2, and 3 instruction, and data collected using the programs are ideal for RtI. Educators should bring a device, writing utensils, and comfortable attire to wear.

Current educators in Arch Ford PD Consortium districts may attend the session for free.  All others will be required to pay the session fee on the day of the session.  Arch Ford educators receive priority for seats in a session.
