GFESC Lake Ouachita Float #2: A Rocky Adventure

Join the adventure on a Lake Ouachita barge trip as we explore the geology of Arkansas. Lessons will be shared on the journey of how rocks are formed, transformed and tell the their own "rocky adventure story". Educators will be able to correlate these directly to AR Science standards. Content and lessons will be provided enabling participating teachers to take activities, lessons, and information back to the classroom. The experience and content gained by the participants will allow them to effectively instruct students on these important and required state standards. Participants will be provided six hours of PD credit, two of which will be Arkansas studies. The workshop will last all day so bring a sack lunch and dress appropriately to be outside on the boat. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and something to drink are encouraged.
