OUR Executive Function
Do you have students you would describe as disorganized and inattentive, smart but scattered? These students likely lack executive function skills. These are task-oriented skills that underlie students’ ability to learn; many educators recognize that students who are strong in these skills are more successful than those who aren’t. If you are in search of class-wide and individual strategies to aid students in self-management, working memory, task initiation, time management, emotional and behavioral regulation, flexibility, and planning, attend this professional learning. You will gain a working knowledge of what executive skills are, how they develop, and how to support your students in strengthening these important skills. Attendees are asked to bring an electronic device (tablet, laptop).
