AFESC-Day One Ready! A Novice Teacher’s Guide to a Positive and Balanced School Year



Are you a teacher entering your first, second, or third year of teaching? Do you want to be more prepared to manage your environment and be the lead learner in your classroom? This session aims to equip novice teachers with the knowledge and tools they need to confidently embark on a successful school year. It encourages collaboration, provides practical strategies, and emphasizes the importance of building a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will learn how to build strong connections with your students, even when they have challenging behaviors. Take with you a plan of action for rules, routines, procedures, community building, and engagement that will set you and your students up for a successful school year!

This session will address instructional strategies most appropriate for the following levels of instruction:

Current educators in Arch Ford PD Consortium districts may attend the session for free.  All others will be required to pay the session fee on the day of the session.  Arch Ford educators receive priority for seats in a session.
