Cognitive Coaching is a research-based coaching model that capitalizes upon and enhances teachers’ cognitive processes.
In the eight-day Cognitive Coaching seminar participants learn how to: build trust by developing rapport, utilize three mediative maps for planning, reflecting, and problem resolving, and develop teacher efficacy.
This is for Mentor Teachers, Journeyman, district instructional facilitators/coaches
Days 1-2 will be offered April 4 and May 9, 2024 at NEA Cooperative from 8:30am-4:00pm. Each 2-day session equals 12 hours of credit. Full participation, including all practice sessions and the afternoon performance assessment, is required. Space is limited to 40 participants and participants should ensure they are available the full day before registering. Days 3-8, which lead to certification as a Cognitive Coach, will be offered during the 2024-2025 school year and registration will be available through escWorks.
