SCSC -SoR Stand Alone: Content Area Reading Strategies



This training focuses on what reading in the Content Areas is, what successful readers do to access information in reading across the content areas, what the difficulties seem to be, and offers some strategies to be taught in the classroom to ensure that all students are readers in every content area. The audience for this professional development are content teachers in Grades 3-6 as well as K-12. TESS components addressed: 1A, 1E, 3B, 3C, and 4E.

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
