AFESC-“How do you know they are learning?”:Standards-Referenced Reporting



Is your district moving towards standards-based grading? Are you designing your intervention system for All learners to achieve and grow? High impact instruction and assessment demands a strong understanding and measurement of the standard. Level 4 of High Reliability Schools and PLC essential question two asks: “How do we know if students are learning?” Ensuring this question allows schools to design systems of support/enrichment for all learners to achieve and grow. Standards-referenced reporting measures each student in relation to specific standards. Join us for a session designed to increase your working knowledge and application of standards-based grading as we design Proficiency Scales, assessments and rubrics, and examine the roles of both the leader and teacher in this work. K-12 educators, novice educators, administrators and PLC teams are encouraged to bring access to local standards, assessments, data collection tools, and electronic devices to fully engage in the session work.

This session will address instructional strategies most appropriate for the following levels of instruction:

Tier 1, 2

Current educators in Arch Ford PD Consortium districts may attend the session for free.  All others will be required to pay the session fee on the day of the session.  Arch Ford educators receive priority for seats in a session.
