High impact instruction and assessment demands a strong understanding and measurement of the standard. Level 4 of High Reliability Schools and PLC essential question two asks: “How do we know if students are learning?” Ensuring this question allows schools to design systems of support/enrichment for all learners to achieve and grow. Standards-referenced reporting measures each student in relation to specific standards. Join us for a session designed to increase your working knowledge and application of standards-based grading as we design Proficiency Scales, assessments and rubrics, and examine the roles of both the leader and teacher in this work. K-12 educators, novice educators, administrators and PLC teams are encouraged to bring access to local standards, assessments, data collection tools, and electronic devices to fully engage in the session work.
