OUR AI in Education



This professional development session aims to provide K-12 educators with a comprehensive understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, focusing on its positive impacts, potential drawbacks, and ethical considerations. The training will explore various facets of AI, specifically leveraging AI to save educators time in tasks such as lesson planning (aligned with Arkansas standards), rubric creation, and grading assistance. Ethical considerations will be addressed, including AI detectors, plagiarism identification, and the formulation of classroom and district policies for student use of AI, particularly for grades 9-12. Participants will leave the session equipped with knowledge, tools, and skills to effectively integrate AI into their teaching practices. 

Course Objectives: *Identify the positive impacts and potential drawbacks of AI in K-12 education 
*Examine AI detectors and plagiarism identification tools along with classroom and district policies 
*Investigate how AI can streamline lesson planning and rubric creation while using AI applications to save educators time 
*Identify AI tools and extentions to help you save time
