In the morning section of this session, participants will explore how to take traditional literacy strategies and support their implementation through using ChatGPT and other free AI websites. This is a hands-on session in which participants will learn about applying strategies, then practice applying them within the context of the grade level and content they teach. Participants will need a Chromebook or a laptop computer.
The afternoon portion of the session will consist of booktalks of approximately 85 middle grade and young adult books with a majority published in the past three years. The booktalks cover many genres. Participants will receive a bibliography of the presented books.
