SCSC-Finding Balance as an Educator

Being an educator is tough work! During this face-to-face training, the Cook Center will present hands-on strategies on how educators can handle stress and resiliency, manage your physical and emotional well-being, and how to take care of yourself as you take care of others (Compassion Fatigue).  our group will have a greater awareness and recognition of stress responses, warning signs, and trauma sensitive environments. We will emphasize healthy practices such as: self-care, acts of encouragement, and managing stress.Together we will focus on understanding your mind, as well as the cost of being in a caring role, which causes compassion fatigue. Being aware of your emotional, psychological, physical, and behavioral health will help you understand how to be more resilient. Participants will leave with a Compassion Fatigue Resiliency Guide that can be used in their personal or professional life
