ARESC-YMHFA (Youth Mental Health First Aid)



This course will cover how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to youth who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid is an international program listed in the National Registry of Evidence based Programs and Practices (NREPP). Participation for the entirety of the course is required to receive certification. This training is sponsored by AWARE. (5 people are required for the session to be held). Participants not under contract with ARESC's Member districts will be charged a fee of $25 per day, or $15 per half day. Payment is required prior to the event session.Disclaimer*** Registered participants who do not attend and fail to cancel their registration will be held liable for the registration fee if applicable.
