AFESC-Giving Evidence-based Feedback to Develop Teachers’ Growth

Evidence-based feedback refers to providing feedback based on actual behaviors and actions rather than focusing on the individual. By emphasizing observable behaviors, evidence-based feedback aims to reduce defensiveness and promote improvement. In this session, participants will explore the types of feedback and how to write and give feedback that is respectful, evidentiary, and developmental towards improving one’s performance at work. Participants will practice giving evidentiary feedback using 4 types of ways to observe and collect information or evidence to support their rendering of feedback.
