This new professional learning opportunity will discuss the components and importance of
creating a sense of belonging among students and includes basic information on strategies,
tips, and tools that will help individuals and/or teams incorporate inclusive practices into the
secondary transition process. Attendees will review characteristics of inclusion in general
education and work to incorporate them into their classroom, school building, or district.
Valuable resources for high leverage practices and instructional practices that support inclusion
will be shared. Teams that include general educators and special educators are
encouraged to attend with electronic devices to plan strategies.
