NEA - Keeping Kids Safe Online



This professional development session is dedicated to empowering educators, including teachers, administrators, counselors, and media specialists, with the knowledge and tools necessary to ensure the safety of students and themselves in the online environment. Recognizing teachers as the linchpin in online safety, the session will leverage TeachingTIME's Connect with Character lessons and explore various resources designed to keep students secure in the digital realm. Participants will delve into best practices for online safety, equipping them with the skills to navigate the challenges of the online world effectively. Course Objectives: *Explore a variety of resources available for educators, administrators, counseors, and media specialists to enhance their understanding of online safety *Establish best practices for onlin safety in educational settings *Demonstrate TeachingTIME's Connect with Character lessons as valuable tools for promoting online safety *Highlight the responsibility of educators in fostering a secure digital learning environment.
