NAESC - Youth Mental Health First Aid



This groundbreaking course from the National Council for Behavioral Health gives people the tools to identify when someone might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary. This in-person course prepares adults to help youth ages 12-18.
This course meets the PD requirements for teen suicide awareness and prevention for Arkansas Educators.
Important Session Information:
A minimum of 5 people is required for the session to be held. This course is in-person at Northeast Arkansas Educational Services Cooperative. Participants must complete the online prework to attend the in-person session and receive credit for the course.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an international program listed in the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP).


Important Session Information:


Pre-work will be emailed to participants and must be completed prior to attending in person session. Nurses seeking CEUs (7 CEUs) will need to register on Train to get credit for this course.
