Dyslexia and 504



In this session, we will discuss the basics of Section 504 and how dyslexia could qualify a student for Section 504 services when the student does not qualify for an IEP.  The presenter will discuss the definition of a disability in Section 504, the child find requirements, the process of qualifying and creating an accommodation plan, how dyslexia services fit into a Section 504 plan, and the role of the dyslexia specialists/interventionists on the Section 504 team and throughout the process.

A $100 FEE WILL BE DUE ON THE DAY OF THE TRAINING IF NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE DMESC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM.
