GFESC Magazine Mountain as an outdoor classroom



Join us on beautiful Magazine Mt. for an exciting day of exploring the mountain. Participants will visit the Park Interpreter who will describe how to organize fieldtrips that allow students to learn across the curriculum. Visit the highpoint of Arkansas, learn the history of early Arkansas settlement, and learn science as you visit various geological sites. Lessons provided as well as how to utilize the outdoors as a classroom on your campus.

Important Session Information:


NO COST PDC

Dress for the outdoors. Moderate hike in the morning. You will need to bring a sack lunch and plenty of water. Meet at the pavilion directly across from the visitors center at 9 AM. Afternoon will be inside for film and lessons.
