Art is everywhere in our English and social studies classrooms but often the act of creating art in schools is set aside for art-specific classes (band, visual art, choir, etc.). From songwriting to movement to visual art, inviting students to create art to demonstrate their depth of understanding of complex English and social studies concepts is a win-win for students and teachers.
