NAESC - Section 504 Overview
Lance LeVar, from Federal Programs in DESE, will present this session on the basics of Section 504 for teachers, counselors, administrators and Section 504 coordinators. Topics will include the definition of a disability in Section 504, the child find requirements, the process of qualifying and creating an accommodation plan, each staff member’s role on the Section 504 team and throughout the process. Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions, concerns, struggles, etc. to discuss during this interactive presentation.
