Important Session Information:

Differentiation for Gifted Learners will help guide teachers to confidently go beyond adjusting content levels, task complexity, or product choice to meet the needs of gifted students. You will discover numerous practical strategies, formats, templates, and practical examples of differentiation for K-12 classrooms.

This book will not only help you apply best practices for gifted learners in your classroom, but will also enable you to assertively and with great detail outline and defend the ways that differentiation for gifted learners differs from the practices used with other students. Join us as we go beyond the basics of differentiation to practices that address the unique learning needs of gifted students!

Topics covered include Common Core Standards, real-world problem solving, abstract thinking, interdisciplinary concepts, authentic products, learning autonomy, accountability, grouping practices, affective curriculum, 21st-century skills, Advanced Placement and Honors classes, IB programs, underserved populations, and twice-exceptional learners.

The online course is set up in a six-week, 3 section format that requires participants to complete work in a timely fashion. Purchase of the book Differentiation for Gifted Learners; Going Beyond the Basics by Diane Heacox & Richard Cash prior to the start of the course is the responsibility of the student.

*This online book study meets the gifted highly qualified professional development (HQPD) requirement for gifted students receiving services in the general education classroom. If your district receives full gifted coordination use promocode gifted for nofee.
