Authentic Problem Solving - an online course

Are you an educator who desires students who can think critically, communicate clearly, and solve complex problems?  If so, this course is a perfect fit for you.




Authentic Problem Solving will allow participants to: 
  • access examples of project-based learning experiences by content area and real-world problems in core subject areas.
  • acquire methods to teach students problem-solving skills.
  • discover how to use digital tools like GarageBand, Audacity, and Movie Maker to promote creativity, collaboration, and research.

Important Session Information:


Authentic Problem Sovling, offered only online, features theories, resources, and ideas that can be implemented in any subject area or grade level. Topics include growth and fixed mindsets, methods to teach students problem-solving skills, and using questions and scenarios to elevate thinking. Participants will be asked to complete assignments, engage in online discussions with the learning cohort, and share implementation ideas via sample lesson plans. There are 6 modules. Each module has 2-3 lessons.

45 contact hours or 4.5 CEUs are available upon completion of course. (Certificate of completion available through ESCWorks.)
