DIY: Switch Adapted Toys

  • Gain an understanding of the basics to adapting toys to be operated by a switch: cut, modify, and combine wires in order to generate a batter interrupter.
  • Identify the toys and items that can be switch adapted.
  • Identify items required to switch adapt toys/items.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to switch adapt a toy for your student or child? This is the course for you! The AT Consortium wants to provide you with a step-by-step experience of how to switch adapt toys to encourage cause/effect, increased attention, and motivation for your kids. This self-guided course encourages hands on learning by doing, allowing participants to adapt a toy that will then be added to the AT Consortium Lending Library and checked out!
