The world changes according to the way people see it, and if you can alter, even by a millimeter, the way people look at reality, then you can change it.”
-James Baldwin
Educators play a crucial role in helping students understand and talk openly about historical and current inequities and discrimination. Regardless of who you are, your role, your intentions or how long you've been in education, we can all benefit from a One Degree Shift in our thinking, knowledge, and understanding. While one degree may seem insignificant, a slight shift has the potential to make a substantial impact in understanding your students, families, and colleagues.
We invite you to join Katrice Quitter and a cohort of other educators for a unique four day, professional development series to explore diversity, equity, and inclusion in your system:
Session 1: Let Me Take a Selfie!
Session 2: Widen Your Aperture
Session
Session 3: Focus on Critical Conversations
Session
Session 4: Pixel by Pixel-From Awareness to Action
Moving from theory to application, this cohort will have participants take learning, ideas, and resources from each session back to apply in their schools and classrooms. Come to talk, learn, listen, and share your successes and challenges for creating more equitable and inclusive spaces for everyone.
