Important Session Information:

Gifted learners have unique and intense social-emotional, intellectual, and cognitive characteristics that can be celebrated. Rich and diverse children's literature selections can provide a catalyst for substantive discussions, discovery of identity, and an increased sense of empathy, compassion, and joy. In this session, picture book titles will be shared that will address gifted learners' heightened awareness of social justice and global issues, intellectual curiosity, imagination and creativity, keen senses of humor, and concerns with identity.

Participants will be invited to share ideas for how to implement the shared titles into their classrooms and schools in order to increase gifted learners' sense of belonging and agency.
