Instructional Strategies for Content Teachers of ELs (using SIOP) REFRESHER/LEVEL TWO

- Audience:  district staff: teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators




  • Learn to integrate academic language into lessons.
  • Learn strategies to allow students to learn and practice academic English as it is used in the context of school.
  • Increase attention to vocabulary instruction across the curriculum.

Important Session Information:


If you have received Instructional Strategies for Content Teachers of ELs (using SIOP) training and have begun implementing the components and features into your lessons but would like to refresh or continue your learning - this is the PD for you! During this day together, we will review basic supports for your English Learners, learn new strategies to support reading, writing, listening, and speaking academic language in the classroom, and share best practices with colleagues who are currently working in the field.
