Visual Phonics

- Audience:  Teachers of the Deaf and Hearing Impaired, Educational Interpreters,SLPs and Intervention Specialists




  • Learn cues for the 46 sounds in the English language.
  • Understand connections between visual phonics and the Science of Reading.
  • Provide visual/kinesthetic access to phonetic sounds.

Important Session Information:


This in-person Visual Phonics workshop consists of two, four and a half hour sessions (total of 9 hours). We will explore the multi-sensory Visual Phonics program and its benefits in reinforcing literacy skills in the areas of phonological awareness, letter-sound correspondence, decoding, as well as articulation for students that use spoken language. During this workshop, participants will learn the skills necessary to implement Visual Phonics in instructional and therapeutic settings.
