Mathematics Benchmark Performance Assessments
are designed to assess student mastery as a result of TEKS-based instruction
and to serve as an indicator for student success on TAKS. Instructional rubrics
that analyze a student's conceptual knowledge, procedural knowledge, and
communication skills are included.
The assessments are a free resource to educators, parents, and students. Tasks
grouped by grade level that address the concepts of main idea, summarization,
characterization, plot understanding, text comparisons and connections, and
inferential thinking are available on both the public and administrator sites.
