The social studies performance assessments are scored via an
instructional rubric using a one to four scale of possible points, with four
being the top score and one the lowest score. The components of the rubric
include four important elements necessary for effective social studies teaching
and learning. They are:
1)understanding
2)reasoning
3)accuracy
4)communication

might wish to copy and paste this shell for each task to facilitate scoring
student work. The rubric can be modified to address specific aspects of the student product.
