Gangs 101 and the Internet
Audience:
Administrator, Counselors, Teachers, All Levels
Learn about the history of gangs, gang identifiers and the legal definition of a criminal street gang. Explore the connection between the use of the Internet and street gangs. Utilize web sites to illustrate how the Internet is being used as a new medium for traditional gangs and non-traditional gangs to share information. Increase your awareness on this issue and receive useful resources for educators on gang prevention and intervention. Session and material costs are partially funded through state or federal grants.
