| Audience: | | Parents, Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments |
Learn about the Mountbatten Brailler, an electronic Braille writer that provides students with visual impairments a fun and easy way to learn and write Braille. In addition to Braille writing, it is an embosser with Braille-to-print and print-to-Braille translation capabilities. Receive hands-on experience in writing and formatting documents, printing and embossing a document at the same time by using translation options. In addition, a new Braille music player and editor will be introduced. Tips on helping students gain access to print materials, using audio feedback to reinforce the learning of Braille, file management, and interfacing with a PC computer will also be addressed. Session and materials costs are partially funded through state or federal grants.
