Day One of the Level 1 Five Day Institute. 4.  G/T Day 2: Nature and Needs of Gifted and Talented Students Teacher sensitivity will be increased to appreciate the social and emotional needs of gifted and talented students when they attend this workshop. Day Two of the Level 1 Five-Day Institute. 5.  G/T Day 3: Using Creative and Critical Thinking for Differentiating Teaching and Learning In this workshop, teachers will be provided with foundational concepts to incorporate creative and critical thinking skills into the content areas of the curriculum. Day Three of the Level 1 Five-Day Institute. 6.  G/T Day 4: Instructional and Management Toolbox for a Differentiated Classroom Participants will learn key concepts and principles of differentiated instruction through the areas of content, process and products based on student readiness, interest and learning profiles. Day Four of the Level 1 Five-Day Institute. 7.  G/T Day 5: Texas Performance Standards Project An explanation of instructional and management strategies for teachers to begin to facilitate differentiation of instruction in the classrooms will be presented in this workshop. Day Five of the Level 1 Five-Day Institute. 8.  Differentiating Instruction for G/T This workshop will provide teachers with strategies for differentiating the regular curriculum in order to provide for the G/T students and meet the state law requirements. 9.  NCLB Consolidated Application and Compliance Report Training This training is for individuals responsible for completing and submitting the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) consolidated application and/or compliance reports for all federal programs under NCLB.
