The fee to take the GED is $100 and $25 for each retake. All fees must be paid with a money order, cashier’s check (due in our office before the scheduled test) or registration can be done online at www.esc6.net. There is a non-refundable “no show” fee of $25; cancellations must be called in before the test date or the $25 fee will be charged. The remaining money can be held for the next test date or refunded at the participant’s request.
The regulations for taking the GED are as follows:
*16 yr olds must be court ordered and have a state issued photo ID
*17 yr olds must have a state issued photo ID, withdrawal papers from the last school attended, and parent permission form.
*All others must have state/government issued photo ID, NO EXCEPTIONS.
The results will be mailed to you from Austin in 3 to 6 weeks.

If you fail any part of the test you must retake the failed subject(s) only.
The waiting period is 6 months, or after attending class or tutoring, you must have a letter from a certified teacher stating you are now ready to retake and pass the failed subject.
An overall score of 2250 must be made in order to pass the GED.
