Standards for Ensuring Student Success from Kindergarten to College and Career, Spanish Language Arts and Reading 3-6 (SLAR)

This state-sponsored training on the newly adopted Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Spanish Language Arts and Reading (SLAR) will provide the knowledge and materials necessary for 3-6 implementation of the new curriculum standards for Spanish Language Arts and Reading teachers. Participants will become familiarized with the new strands, the knowledge and skills statements, and the student expectations. The training includes integration of the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS), and the SLAR TEKS correlation to the College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS).
