Evaluation and Intervention of Bilingual Students in Speech Language Pathology Video Conference (TETN) Series: Difference vs. Disorder - Language Intervention Strategies for Monolingual and Bilingual Children




This session is for monolingual and bilingual speech language pathologists. This course includes a discussion about things to consider in selecting the language of intervention. Speech language pathologists will select appropriate language goals for students who are bilingual and identify appropriate interventions to address the goals. Interventions will include function, attribute, category therapy and storybook. Individual case studies will be used during this session.

This training series will be presented via TETN. If you wish to participate in this video conference from your LEA (rather than travel to the ESC), you need to contact your district distance learning coordinator so that this session will be made available. You must register for each TETN session through ESC, Region VI’s website at www.esc6.net. Several days prior to each TETN you will receive an email with session handouts.
