GEMS: Great Explorations in Math & Science - Ant Homes Under the Ground
Share
An ant is one creature children are almost certain to see around them no matter where they live. Ants seem to be everywhere - in yards, on playgrounds, and often in homes and classrooms. Welcome or not, ants are interesting social insects. The variety of jobs they do, what they hide in their underground homes, and how and why they leave scent trails are fascinating topics for young children. This fascination in turn enlivens interest in insects and the natural world. Participants will receive a copy of the book for their classroom use. (Grades PK-1) MATH/SCIENCE FEE SERVICE MEMBERS ONLY
