Educators in Humble ISD now have the ability to register and track professional development workshops on-line using the escWorks system!
Humble ISD defines professional development as an ongoing course of study that changes participant behavior in a way that produces a demonstrable
and measurable effect on student learning. To meet mandates, improve student outcome, promote effectiveness, address compliance issues and identify needs are a few reasons
why we do professional development. Having said that, Humble ISD believes that professional development is an integral part of its vision. The focus of professional development is:
- to offer continuing professional development opportunities for teachers, paraprofessionals, office professionals, administrators and other district employees;
- to develop, implement, and evaluate results-driven, standards-based and job embedded professional development that is aligned with state guidelines and district
priorities and includes all employee groups; and
- to create a learning environment that is capable of realizing individual and shared mission, vision and values.
