Database Basics – Level 2
Course Objectives:
•Understand terminology related to databases.
•Demonstrate a basic understanding of the database application used in your teaching assignment.
•Gain knowledge about special features available in AppleWorks or Access.
•Be able to create a database and manipulate the data.
Course Overview:
This course will present the general characteristics of a database, and then introduce the features of AppleWorks and Access databases, the two applications used by teachers in the district.
If you are a teacher in grades K-8, you need only complete the Overview and the AppleWorks modules. If you are a teacher in grades 9-12, you only need to complete the Overview and the Access modules.
