PLC Leadership Academy
The PLC Leadership Academy was developed to train school leaders in the implementation, support, and sustainability of meaningful professional learning communities in schools. Participants attending these trainings will be introduced to a new state-wide professional learning community support system designed and supported through a partnership between WASA, AWSP, ESD 113 and the WEA. These trainings are built on the premise that PLC work becomes a structure for professional development in schools, the work engages staff in a collabortive process, and the process is focused on student learning and instructional practice. These trainings will include a comprehensive look at PLC basics which include identifying the necessary conditions required to implement PLC's, team norms and procedures, study group protocols including the process of looking at student work, building trust, collaboration practices, coaching, and shared leadership.
